About Down Home Farm

Nick had always dreamed of starting a farm in the town where he grew up. To make his dream a reality, he purchased a small piece of land from Nate and Kathy Maxwell to build a homestead and start his family. Additionally, he leases hay field and pasture from Nate.

Together with Nate, Nick works to hay the land and pasture the animals on fresh green grass. They started with merely 2 cows and 2 calves, but within two years have expanded to 4 cows, 3 calves, 2 goats, 6 pigs, 6 lambs, 15 laying hens and 15 turkeys!

Down Home Farm’s primary focus is Happy Healthy Animals!


All products are sold by the order placed before May 1 of the year.

All meat is sold by the ¼, ½, ¾ or whole. Eggs are sold by the dozen. Hay is sold by the bale — available for pick up or delivery.
